Fish oil
The source. The headline number alone says little — what matters is how much EPA and DHA it carries, so we print both.
EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid)
A long-chain omega-3 fatty acid found mainly in oily fish. Diets with little fish provide very little of it.
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid)
The other long-chain omega-3 in oily fish, and a structural fat in the brain and eyes.

What not to expect.

  • You will not feel it the next day. Omega-3 intake is a long-term habit.
  • If you already eat oily fish two or three times a week, you may not need it.
  • It does not treat or prevent any disease.

Before you start.

  • Contains fish. Not suitable for people with a fish allergy.
  • Speak to your doctor first if you take blood-thinning medication or have surgery planned.
  • Not suitable for vegans.

Questions.

Will it give me fishy burps?

Taking it with a meal makes this much less likely. Keeping the pack somewhere cool helps too.

Why do you list EPA and DHA separately?

Because "1000 mg fish oil" on its own does not tell you how much omega-3 you are getting. EPA and DHA are the part that counts.
